In the recent electoral campaign in Peru for the presidential election and the Congress of the Republic of Peru 2011, naturalized U.S. citizens are participating for elective offices of the foreign state in which were previously citizens. The naturalized citizens are deemed violations of the Oath of allegiance to the United States.
