Self reflection

Self reflection

Being Peruvian in the United States is not the same as being in the Peruvian Peru, was the premise of these essays in Spanish on the Peruvian Diaspora; Peruvians Emigration to the United States 1980-2006; Peruvians in the United States in number; The Peruvian cuisine and the collective cultural identity; The peruanidad in the Diaspora: Being Peruvian in the United States. The essays in English reflecting my thoughts of both worlds in a symbolism, "Prayer in American public schools, Fahrenheit 151", "A story of a woman as a victim of domestic violence."

I looked at my essays reflect the personal and collective experiences with whom I shared thoughts on Peru and the world with different ideas to academic institutions; because we are intellectuals transcultural and transnational. The migration has proved to be a positive process, and of benefit to our creative process, and learning of new environments.

The peruanidad as a constant in the diaspora is the collective experience that I shared especially the talks with producers shared cultural diaspores, Carlos Bernales, Enrique Soria, Freddy Roncalla, Alex Julca, Miryam Yataco, Susan Obeler, Ernesto Mora, Gerardo Renique, Javier Champa, Medil Moon (Pepe Li), Silvio Rendon, Armando Bermudez, Alfonso Bermudez, Isabel Clostre, Mari Carmen Amado. And with whom I shared reflections on political violence that tear to Peru in the eighties; at the Support Group to Peru in New York, Aldo Panfichi, Cesar Francis, Jo-Ann Marie Burt, Edgar Grijalba, Fernando Mariscal, and Isabel Clostre.

For whom the Internet unites us through his works essayists and poetic, Isaac Goldemberg and the publishers Luis Ramirez, "Bulletin New York”, and Luis Aguilar, “The Tribune Hispanic.” And whom have not been a distance obstacle but a symbolic dimension to continue sharing thoughts and ideas different sociological, Daniel Santomé, Christian Zavala, Cesar Marble, Josefina Barrueta, the young psychologist, Pamela Zavala always thoughtful, daughter of my beloved friend Christian Zavala; Romina Rodriguez with whom I shared experiences cross through the Internet in talks modernity and postmodernist from Cordoba, Argentina. In particular, Jennifer Hernandez with whom I shared a process of creative ideas and experiences, recreating a nostalgic vision of crosses us from Cali, Colombia to New York. To all of your my deep reflection.
